Sports Performer software was displayed at the annual North Queensland ACHPER conference in Cairns over 2 days.
David Perry fielded queries from PDHPE teaching staff and spoke about how they could utilise the technology in the classroom or training field.

Tamworth Rugby Club are looking forward, with their purchase of Sports Performer to assist them at their club.
Under the guidance of Chris Collins, the club has embarked a road with the technology with good feedback already on the type of results that can be achieved with utilising it.

After an extensive search of analysis systems, consultant Philip Kong's advise to Oakhill College was to purchase Sports Performer for the school's video analysis needs.
Initially the system will be used by the 1st XV rugby coach, Andrew Wisemental with the hope of other sports coming on board with future purchases.

Sport Hawkes Bay have announced a workshop on video analysis to be conducted by Tim Motu in Napier on 31st May.
The workshop will feature information basic to the functionality of computerised video analysis and will feature Sports Performer Sp Rookie package as one of the systems.

Redcliffe Dolphins are looking to extend their great start to the season on the InTrust Cup, with the purchase of Sports Performer software.
Head coach John Dixon initiated the use of the system having utilised it successfully in the English Super League with the Celtic Cruscaders.
Players will have access to the coaches edits on the dedicated computers setup in the players area.
David Perry spent the morning setting up the system and training John and his staff on it's use.

After presenting the Sports Performer software at their offices in Hamilton recently, David Perry held discussions with their Sports Development Advisor Mark McLaughlin to establish how best to utilise the program within their organisation.
This resulted in the purchase of multiple software licences to be used across a number of sports including soccer and volleyball.
The software is also to be used by SportsForce development officers who are employed to make sport happen by working with volunteers in recruitment and training. This project reaches throughout the greater Waikato region and now includes 19 sports.

Central Coast Centurions link up with the Newcastle Knights and under the guidance of coaches Rip Taylor and Tony Keevill, will embark on the season ahead with the use of Sports Performer software.
Both men are familiar with the software having used it in previous coaching stints and will be meeting up with David Perry this week to install the program and go through some additional training.

Netball Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand was impressed with the presentations of Sports Performer software recently and have purchased a number of systems for their senior and development squads.
Delwyn McCarroll organised training for Dale Atkinson in the offices while David Perry visited Hamilton recently.

The Entrance Tigers will re-enter the Bundurberg Red Cup in 2010, armed with Sports Performer analysis software.
Coaching staff including Jamie Forbes and Alex Moore will be trained in the use of the program and are looking forward to it assisting the club in a very competitive competition.
Both are back to attempt to add to their tally of two Jim Bean Cup championships in the last 6 years.

Napier Pirates coaching staff begin their campaign for the Hawkes Bay Rugby Union premiership with the use of Sports Performer software.
David Perry spent time in Napier recently to train coach Phil Rumpler and analyst Rudy Markram on the operation.
Both were excited about what the program is capable of providing them in the season ahead.

While in Caloundra, David caught up with Sunshine Coast Sea-Eagles coach Brandon Costin to go over some of the finer points of the Sports Performer software with him.
Although already astute with the operation having utilised the software in the club's successful Queensland Cup campaign last year, there were a couple of points that he identified to make his job quicker and more functional in the season ahead.

David Perry travelled to Caloundra on the Queensland Sunshine Coast to install and train Scott Kidston from the local junior rugby union club.
Scott sees the acquision of the Sports Performer software as a tool to improve on the referee's development program that is already in place at the club.
Caloundra provides a significant number of referees into the local competition and Sports Performer will assist in their ongoing development.

David Perry has just returned from a week in New Zealand's North Island where Sports Performer software was successfully presented at a number of venues.
Starting at Sport Wellington, Mike Walsh hosted the presentation attended by a group eager to see what video analysis can do for their particular sport.
A return visit to Napier followed where the SP Rugby package was installed at a number of the rugby clubs in the region.
In Hamilton, Mark McLaughlin at Sport Waikato hosted 3 presentations over a full day, with attendees ranging in sporting backgrounds from rugby, netball, soccer and league to yachting and karate.

The purchase of additional Sports Performer licences by Souths Rugby Club in Brisbane will see coach Dan McKellar and his coaching staff more equipped in their approach to the 2010 season.
A number of SP Viewers located around in the changerooms will also make it easier to provide feedback to the players.
David Perry will be in Brisbane on Saturday to deliver additional training to the coaches.

Brisbane school St Josephs College have come on board with the purchase of a number of Sports Performer software licences to aid, initially their rugby teams and then into other sports within the school.
Coach Tyron Mandrusiak saw the software being utilised by some of the rugby clubs in and around Brisbane and was impressed.

Wagga Wagga School, Kildare Catholic College has installed Sports Performer software into a dedicated classroom for their students usage.
David Perry travelled to the NSW centre of Wagga Wagga and conducted training workshops for Katie Hogg and the staff, representing a number of sports and other vocations throughout the school.
With the software setup, students are able to utilise their 'home' drive to store and revisit footage they have tagged, independant of which computer they access in the school.

Australian Ian Millward has taken the reigns at the Co-operative Championship Club Leigh Centurions, who after narrowly missing demotion are looking to greatly improve on last year.
Ian said 'As a club we have a lot to do on the field of play, but the coaching team and myself here at Leigh are looking forward to the challenge'.
Assisting Ian is last years coach Paul Rowley who said 'Ian and myself together with Gary Eccleston are looking forward to Sports Performer being a great help to us in the new season.'
Said Millward, 'I've been quite impressed with what Sports Performer offers us as a tool that should see an increase in our players skill levels and application, I'm looking forward to using it'

Sports Performer was demonstrated to a number of sporting organisations in Hawkes Bay on New Zealands north island over 2 days.
In conjunction with Sports Hawkes Bay, three workshops were held over two days showcasing what Sports Performer can do for an individual or a team organisation
David Perry travelled to NZ and met up with New Zealand manager Rob Payne and with the terrific support of Sport Hawkes Bay's Tim Motu, conducted the sessions which were well received across a number of local sporting codes.

Positive reports from Hitchin RFC coach, David Marshall after their recent purchase of Sports Performer.
He has been using the software for just a couple of weeks and has already marked an improvement in the players' performance.

Brisbane Brothers coach Zane Hilton capped off a wonderful season being named as the QRU Premier Coach of the Year.
Following on from his club's wonderful season which saw them take out 3 of the top 4 divisions, including the Premier Grade's 26-19 Grand Final win over Souths.
Hilton commented that "Sports Performer played a huge part in our program".

In Mackay, Minor Premiers Souths have defeated Moranbah by 37-34 in a pulsating Mercury Cup grand final.
The Sharks scored seven tries to six in a freewheeling decider in front of about 2000 fans which went down to the wire.

The Wyong Roos have made history today, becoming the first ever Central Coast team to win the Newcastle Rugby League grand final.
Wyong smashed the minor premier, Cessnock Goannas 36-4 at Number One Sportsground in Newcastle to win it's first grand final since entering the competition in 2003.

On the Gold Coast to demonstrate Sports Performer to a number of organisations, David Perry called on Australian Schoolboys Rugby coach Rob Nowlan to go through some of the finer points of the software.
Already familiar with the basics in his role with Sunnybank Rugby, Rob was excited at what he can now do in the leadup to matches against the Tongan schools team later this month.

Kirwan State High School coach Dave Ackers reports that a significant contributing factor to the school's success in this years Arrive Alive Cup can be contributed to his use of Sports Performer.
Having won the Northern zone final against St Ignatious Park last week, they take on southern rivals Keebra Park High School in the Queensland final today.

Shoalhaven Rugby Club has purchased Sports Performer and their coach, Paul Mulready is coming up to speed with the operation of the program.
David Perry visited the Southern Highlands for a demonstration last week and was back again today to put the coach through the training.

Brisbane Rugby Clubs continue to enbrace the Sports Performer video analysis software with today's purchase by GPS Rugby Club.
Following a recommendation from newly arrived assistant coach, Mike Madden, David Perry visited the club's training grounds to install and train both Madden and head coach Matt Pini on the use of the program.
The club boasts impressive playing fields and will look to video analysis to assist the development of the club's promising juniors in the years ahead.

Illawarra Sports High School has become the latest school to purchase the Sports Performer video analysis software.
Coach Andrew Ryder was introduced to the technology in his role on the St George Illawarra coaching staff.
Sports Performer will form an integral part of the school sporting preparation, in particular the rugby league's Arrive Alive Cup campaign which Ryder will oversee.

Australian A-League soccer side, Adelaide United has reported positive use of Sports Performer over a very succesful year.
With the assistance of the program, the club made it all the way to the Asian Champions Cup Final, a first for an Australian club side.
This result will see them compete in the Clubs Soccer World Cup to be played in Japan in December, again a first for Australian soccer, and considered one of the highest achievements in Australian soccer history.

Today's announcement of a Sports Performer purchase by the Tarbiat Moallem University in Tehran, Iran is exciting news.
Mohsen Shafizadeh is Assistant Professor of Motor Behavior in the Sport Sciences Department at the University and teaches topics including motor learning and development, sport psychology, research methods, statistics and skill analysis.
He published a research paper in the last volume of the International Journal of Performance Analysis in Sport,2008,8,3,PP:41-48, about qualitative analysis of aggressive behavior in soccer.
His Sports Performer has already been used to analyse the Iran National Soccer matches in the World Cup qualifications (Iran-Singapore,Iran-Thailand,Iran-S Korea) and for "development of behavioral assessment scale for achievment motivation" that is a new method for measuring motivation in sports matches.
And he has plans to test other psychological theories at events including the World Cup Freestyle Wrestling in Tehran this year.

A purchase of Sports Performer as part of his Development Officer's role in the Wide Bay region of Queensland, Glen Dreger hopes to update other coaches in the area.
"Video analysis is a growing tool", he said. "Something that coaches at club level do not make enough use of."
Some of the clubs will be asked to provide video of their matches this year and Glen has plans to transfer knowledge at the regular club updates, by going through the video with them and then assisting with the development of skills sessions that relate directly to their teams.
There are also plans for the Wide Bay representative teams to benefit from video analysis this year with the use of the Sports Performer products.

Canterbury Bulldogs legend, Terry Lamb had his Sports Performer system installed at the club's base at Homebush.
After using the software with the team last season, Terry was keen to continue with it in 2009.
David Perry also installed Viewer licences which will enable the players better access to their tagged footage.

After having previously used Sports Performer as head coach at the Central Queensland Comets side, coach Steve Anderson made a point of requesting the club purchase the software when he was appointed to their 2009 Queensland Cup campaign.

The Newtown Jets will look to go one better in the 2009 competition.
The club's assistant coach, Luke Ellis has following up training on the Sports Performer video analysis package with the purchase of SPViewer software licences for the players area at their gymnasium.
Players will now have more available access to their video footage and coaching staff will be able to carry out more detailed video sessions with them.

St George Illawarra Dragons have become the latest NRL club to recognise the functionality, ease of use and affordability of Sports Performer video analysis software.
Impressed with what he saw in demonstrations of the system, junior development coaching director Ben Haran arranged for the club to purchase numerous licences for use through their lower grades and junior representative teams.
David Perry travelled to Wollongong's WIN Stadium, and then to the Dragons Sydney base at Kogarah to install and train all involved.
These included the club's former players Craig Young, Graeme Wynn and John Simon as well as Adam Sargent-Wilson, Nal Wijesekera, Murray Whitehead and Mick Martin.
Murray and Mick were already familiar with Sports Performer through their involvement at previous clubs and were excited to again be utilising the technology.
The system will form an integral part of Wayne Bennett's blueprint in establishing the Dragons' new elite junior pathway program.

Queensland Cup clubs utilising Sports Performer now totals half of the competition with today's announcement of the Burleigh Bears agreement.
Head coach Jim Lenihan, his assistant Mark Gee and well known CEO Adrian Vowels have today attended training at the Leagues Club with developer David Perry.
Always looking for ways to improve, the club was anxious to have the system in place before the opening trial of the season on the weekend. The coaches plan to use the trail matches to gain an understanding of the power of Sports Performer leading into the competition proper next month.

Head coach Barry Eaton has been impressed with what using the software has bought to the club and commissioned an additional system for the assistant coach.

Brisbane Brothers Rugby club are looking to go one-better in the premiership this season, with the appointment of Zane Hilton to the coaching role for 2009.
Zane used Sports Performer in his previous role at the University of Queensland, and has bought the technology to his former club.
David Perry was at the club's headquarters in Brisbane today to install the software, including a number of the SPViewer programs which will allow the players access to the coaches tagged video clips.

Historic Rugby Lions have became the latest UK side to pick up Sports Performer video analysis software.
After trialling the software over the early part of the season, Tony Hunt was impressed and has purchased licencing for the club.
Tony will be using the software on the individual player performances of their senior players, but also for skills analysis in the Rugby Lions Academy.
"Sports Performer is easy to use, it's intuitive and the tagging process is simple to pick up.", he said.
We went on to say that the results from the use are proving very popular with the players, with all involved looking forward to making good use of Sports Performer going forward.
