Wagga Wagga School, Kildare Catholic College has installed Sports Performer software into a dedicated classroom for their students usage.
David Perry travelled to the NSW centre of Wagga Wagga and conducted training workshops for Katie Hogg and the staff, representing a number of sports and other vocations throughout the school.
With the software setup, students are able to utilise their 'home' drive to store and revisit footage they have tagged, independant of which computer they access in the school.

Australian Ian Millward has taken the reigns at the Co-operative Championship Club Leigh Centurions, who after narrowly missing demotion are looking to greatly improve on last year.
Ian said 'As a club we have a lot to do on the field of play, but the coaching team and myself here at Leigh are looking forward to the challenge'.
Assisting Ian is last years coach Paul Rowley who said 'Ian and myself together with Gary Eccleston are looking forward to Sports Performer being a great help to us in the new season.'

Sports Performer was demonstrated to a number of sporting organisations in Hawkes Bay on New Zealands north island over 2 days.
In conjunction with Sports Hawkes Bay, three workshops were held over two days showcasing what Sports Performer can do for an individual or a team organisation
David Perry travelled to NZ and met up with New Zealand manager Rob Payne and with the terrific support of Sport Hawkes Bay's Tim Motu, conducted the sessions which were well received across a number of local sporting codes.

David Perry will be exhibiting the Sports Performer and SP Rookie software at the 2009 Evolution of the Athlete conference in Brisbane.

Positive reports from Hitchin RFC coach, David Marshall after their recent purchase of Sports Performer.
He has been using the software for just a couple of weeks and has already marked an improvement in the players' performance.

Brisbane Brothers coach Zane Hilton capped off a wonderful season being named as the QRU Premier Coach of the Year.
Following on from his club's wonderful season which saw them take out 3 of the top 4 divisions, including the Premier Grade's 26-19 Grand Final win over Souths.
Hilton commented that "Sports Performer played a huge part in our program".

In Mackay, Minor Premiers Souths have defeated Moranbah by 37-34 in a pulsating Mercury Cup grand final.
The Sharks scored seven tries to six in a freewheeling decider in front of about 2000 fans which went down to the wire.

The Wyong Roos have made history today, becoming the first ever Central Coast team to win the Newcastle Rugby League grand final.
Wyong smashed the minor premier, Cessnock Goannas 36-4 at Number One Sportsground in Newcastle to win it's first grand final since entering the competition in 2003.

Already familiar with the basics in his role with Sunnybank Rugby, Rob was excited at what he can now do in the leadup to matches against the Tongan schools team later this month.

Kirwan State High School coach Dave Ackers reports that a significant contributing factor to the school's success in this years Arrive Alive Cup can be contributed to his use of Sports Performer.

Brisbane Rugby Clubs continue to enbrace the Sports Performer video analysis software with today's purchase by GPS Rugby Club.
Following a recommendation from newly arrived assistant coach, Mike Madden, David Perry visited the club's training grounds to install and train both Madden and head coach Matt Pini on the use of the program.
The club boasts impressive playing fields and will look to video analysis to assist the development of the club's promising juniors in the years ahead.

Illawarra Sports High School has become the latest school to purchase the Sports Performer video analysis software.
Coach Andrew Ryder was introduced to the technology in his role on the St George Illawarra coaching staff.
Sports Performer will form an integral part of the school sporting preparation, in particular the rugby league's Arrive Alive Cup campaign which Ryder will oversee.

Australian A-League soccer side, Adelaide United has reported positive use of Sports Performer over a very succesful year.
With the assistance of the program, the club made it all the way to the Asian Champions Cup Final, a first for an Australian club side.
This result will see them compete in the Clubs Soccer World Cup to be played in Japan in December, again a first for Australian soccer, and considered one of the highest achievements in Australian soccer history.

Today's announcement of a Sports Performer purchase by the Tarbiat Moallem University in Tehran, Iran is exciting news.
Mohsen Shafizadeh is Assistant Professor of Motor Behavior in the Sport Sciences Department at the University and teaches topics including motor learning and development, sport psychology, research methods, statistics and skill analysis.
He published a research paper in the last volume of the International Journal of Performance Analysis in Sport,2008,8,3,PP:41-48, about qualitative analysis of aggressive behavior in soccer.
His Sports Performer has already been used to analyse the Iran National Soccer matches in the World Cup qualifications (Iran-Singapore,Iran-Thailand,Iran-S Korea) and for "development of behavioral assessment scale for achievment motivation" that is a new method for measuring motivation in sports matches.
And he has plans to test other psychological theories at events including the World Cup Freestyle Wrestling in Tehran this year.

A purchase of Sports Performer as part of his Development Officer's role in the Wide Bay region of Queensland, Glen Dreger hopes to update other coaches in the area.
"Video analysis is a growing tool", he said. "Something that coaches at club level do not make enough use of."
Some of the clubs will be asked to provide video of their matches this year and Glen has plans to transfer knowledge at the regular club updates, by going through the video with them and then assisting with the development of skills sessions that relate directly to their teams.
There are also plans for the Wide Bay representative teams to benefit from video analysis this year with the use of the Sports Performer products.

Canterbury Bulldogs legend, Terry Lamb had his Sports Performer system installed at the club's base at Homebush.
After using the software with the team last season, Terry was keen to continue with it in 2009.
David Perry also installed Viewer licences which will enable the players better access to their tagged footage.

After having previously used Sports Performer as head coach at the Central Queensland Comets side, coach Steve Anderson made a point of requesting the club purchase the software when he was appointed to their 2009 Queensland Cup campaign.

The Newtown Jets will look to go one better in the 2009 competition.
The club's assistant coach, Luke Ellis has following up training on the Sports Performer video analysis package with the purchase of SPViewer software licences for the players area at their gymnasium.
Players will now have more available access to their video footage and coaching staff will be able to carry out more detailed video sessions with them.

St George Illawarra Dragons have become the latest NRL club to recognise the functionality, ease of use and affordability of Sports Performer video analysis software.
Impressed with what he saw in demonstrations of the system, junior development coaching director Ben Haran arranged for the club to purchase numerous licences for use through their lower grades and junior representative teams.
David Perry travelled to Wollongong's WIN Stadium, and then to the Dragons Sydney base at Kogarah to install and train all involved.
These included the club's former players Craig Young, Graeme Wynn and John Simon as well as Adam Sargent-Wilson, Nal Wijesekera, Murray Whitehead and Mick Martin.
Murray and Mick were already familiar with Sports Performer through their involvement at previous clubs and were excited to again be utilising the technology.
The system will form an integral part of Wayne Bennett's blueprint in establishing the Dragons' new elite junior pathway program.

Queensland Cup clubs utilising Sports Performer now totals half of the competition with today's announcement of the Burleigh Bears agreement.
Head coach Jim Lenihan, his assistant Mark Gee and well known CEO Adrian Vowels have today attended training at the Leagues Club with developer David Perry.
Always looking for ways to improve, the club was anxious to have the system in place before the opening trial of the season on the weekend. The coaches plan to use the trail matches to gain an understanding of the power of Sports Performer leading into the competition proper next month.

Head coach Barry Eaton has been impressed with what using the software has bought to the club and commissioned an additional system for the assistant coach.

Brisbane Brothers Rugby club are looking to go one-better in the premiership this season, with the appointment of Zane Hilton to the coaching role for 2009.
Zane used Sports Performer in his previous role at the University of Queensland, and has bought the technology to his former club.
David Perry was at the club's headquarters in Brisbane today to install the software, including a number of the SPViewer programs which will allow the players access to the coaches tagged video clips.

Historic Rugby Lions have became the latest UK side to pick up Sports Performer video analysis software.
After trialling the software over the early part of the season, Tony Hunt was impressed and has purchased licencing for the club.
Tony will be using the software on the individual player performances of their senior players, but also for skills analysis in the Rugby Lions Academy.
"Sports Performer is easy to use, it's intuitive and the tagging process is simple to pick up.", he said.
We went on to say that the results from the use are proving very popular with the players, with all involved looking forward to making good use of Sports Performer going forward.

It also proved helpful in editing of the 'When We Were Kings' film where Assistant Coach Barrie McDermott used Mohammed Ali's win over George Foreman as inspiration for the Irish boys ahead of the victory against Samoa.

Newly appointed First Grade coach of Perth's Associates rugby club, Steve McCullough has confirmed his continued use of Sports Performer next season, when he met with developer David Perry in Perth today.
"Sports Performer was instrumental in our clubs success last season in the Under 20's competition and we will definately be making use of it again in 2009", he said.
Steve has also fielded interest in the program from other Perth based rugby clubs and will look to follow up on these when training resumes at the clubs in the coming weeks.

West Coast Fever have expanded their involvement with Sports Performer following a presentation to their coaching staff at Subiaco Oval in Perth today.
Mal Wright, who has been utilising the software for over a year, arranged for David Perry to meet and show the functionality of the new version, including live capture and tagging.
Also present were coaches from other local netball clubs and they were more than impressed with what the program can do for them.

Associates rugby has claimed the Inaugural Western Australian Under 20's championship with a win in the Grand Final earlier this month.
Coach Steve McCullough acknowledges some credit for the success to his use of Sports Performer, stating "Our game plans were developed using the information we gained from Sports Performer, and these always seemed to be most effective."
He also explained that the time taken to present a video session to his team was cut from 40 minutes down to an average of 14 minutes, meaning there was more time to spend on the training track without losing the professional video time aspect of their session.

David Perry was in Grafton today to install and train coaching director and head-coach of the Grafton Ghosts, Col Speed on the setup and operation of Sports Performer.
Following a successful season that included the first grade minor premiership and a grand final appearance, the club is looking to next year and going one better on Grand Final Day.
After spending countless hours cutting up DVD's for his players, he sees Sports Performer as a tool to make his job easier and more productive.

Southern Districts Rugby Club will enter next season with high expectations following the purchase of multiple Sports Performer licences.
With coaching staff, including Tim Rapp impressed with the functionality of the software during trials of the program towards the end of this season, the club has funded 3 licences.
Training will take place as soon as possible for Tim and the team.

Bradford College is the latest educational institution in the UK to pick up Sports Performer for use in the curriculum.
With the purchase of 11 licences, students at the College will be exposed to video analysis technology throughout their courses, providing them with the experience and confidence on these modern coaching techniques.

After taking his team into National League 1, Gateshead Thunder Head Coach David Woods has been named the 2008 National League 2 Coach of the Year.
The award was selected by other National League coaches and "League Weekly" and presented at the Co-operative National League celebration dinner at the Leeds United Banqueting Suite.

Another system for the Manly SeaEagles.
Harold Matthews coach Lee Addison will be utilising Sports Performer over the Summer and into next season.
The former Great Britain Students coach, who has also been in charge of England Students and England Lionhearts (Amateurs), first came across Sports Performer in 2003 when touring Australia with the GB Students and found it particularly useful for one-on-one work with players.
As a member of the RFL's Regional and National Under 14's, 15's and 16's camps, he worked with Sports Performer on the Performance Pathway for Regional and National standard players in England.
His coaching credentials also include Assistant coach and Reserve Grade Head Coach at Doncaster, another Sports Performer user.
Lee recently coached the NSW Under 13's Talented Athlete Program and works with players from 14 - 17 years old on the Manly Sea Eagles player pathway.
"Sports Performer will be perfect for the current 'Flying Eagles' squad, being a select group of players who work through the winter months focussing on long-term athlete development and using the software will allow me to give feedback to these players in a practical and illuminating way."

Townsville Kirwan SHS purchases Sports Performer.
David Perry visited Townsville today to install and train Todd Wilson on the use of the program.
After using the software in his time assisting Brendan Barlow and the Queensland Schoolboys in championships during the year, Todd spoke to head of Sport George Bartlett about utilising Sports Performer within the school.
As a former NRL player himself, George saw the merits and set about budgetting to bring it to the school.
While the system will initially be used for the schools rugby league team, it is proposed to advance into other areas and hence multiple licences were purchased.

The Australian Schoolboys defeated their England Academy counterparts 17-10 in Wynnum.
Both sides make use of Sports Performer with rivals Brendan Barlow and John Kain being long-time users of the software.
David Perry was in Brisbane to witness the game and took time to catch up with John and the English players before the game.
The upcoming release of Sports Performer 4.8 was high on the list of discussions and it was widely accepted that the new features in this release will make the software even more attractive to coaches the world over.

A long-time user of the Sports Performer software, coach John Evans brings with him a squad of twenty on a three-week tour that includes games in Brisbane, Armidale and Sydney.

After years of using the pen and paper method, head coach Graeme Osborne was immediately sold on the software when he came across it recently.

The team boasts 1 Olympian and 2 World Championship players, and sees the inclusion of 2 women currently on US College Scholarships.

Sydney College, Santa Sabina will utilise Sports Performer in their volleyball program.
Starting just 5 years ago, and although still developing, the program is regarded as one of the strongest in NSW.
Many players from the school in this brief period have been selected to represent NSW as well Australia.
While mainly concentrating on the analysis of their own game, the school also sees the opportunity to use Sports Performer in scouting the opposition.

Overseeing all aspects of Junior player development from Scholarship right up to the reserve grade side, Peter has seen all coaching staff educated on the use of Sports Performer.
Joining staff right up to Jon Sharp and Keiron Purtill in charge of the Super League squad, the coaches at Academy & Reserve Grade level all use Sports Performer on a weekly basis with their respective squads. This year has also seen the program being utilised at a Scholarship level.
All Scholarship training sessions are recorded and then analysed for individual reviews with the young players.

David Perry was at the Netball Queensland headquarters in Brisbane to install and train Kylee Sampson and Melanie Webb on the operation of the software.
Melanie will be taking the program with her to next week's National Championships in Perth and is excited about what the product can provide them.

Dave Rotherham's Workington Town is now up and running with Sports Performer.
One of the first tasks when he was appointed to the role was to secure operational licences for the software and although the process took time, he is confident that using the program will bring the best out his team.

The Ashcroft High School rugby league program received another boost today with the purchase of Sports Performer software.
Under the guidance of coach Troy Weeden, the school is back to emulate the triumphs of the past. With a rich history of talented former students, Weeden and his coaching assistants are looking to video analysis to shape the current crop of rugby league players coming through the school.

Group 21 Premiers, Singleton Greyhounds have today purchased Sports Performer.
With a new ground to be unveiled next month, coach Mark Newman saw the new facilities as a perfect venue to introduce video analysis and performance reviews into the team's weekly schedule.

Robina State High School on the Gold Coast now has Sports Performer installed. David Perry visited the school today to install and train coaching staff including Adam Brandis in the use of the program.
Adam heads the school rugby league program and is looking forward to putting into practice the features demonstrated to him at a presentation late last year.

Endeavour Sports High School in Sydneys south will utilise Sports Performer in their 2008 rugby league program.
Having been introduced to the program in his role as Cronulla Harold Matthews Cup coach, David Howlett felt that the school could also benefit from the use of the software.

Brisbane's Wavell State High School teacher Brendan Barlow will join Brian Johnson and his coaching team at camps throughout the year.
David Perry will be in Brisbane this week to install and train Brendan on the functionality of Sports Performer.
As an assistant coach of Norths Devils Queensland Cup squad, the club will also benefit.

Western Suburbs Magpies have upgraded their licences for the new year.
Coaching director Harvey Howard arranged for the clubs systems to loaded and their new coaching staff has now been trained in the operation.
Harvey and the Magpies include Sports Performer as part of the video analysis segment of their coaching courses and this is proving popular particularly amongst the young coaches.

Western Australian Reds coach Chris Dever reports good use of Sports Performer in the leadup to their historic Jim Beam Cup season.
Over the summer months he has been putting his players through a gruelling training program and has utilised video and Sports Performer to track individuals progress.
Joining Chris in the Perth offices, development manager Kim Williams has been utilising the program to identify and track talented locals.

Mounties Rugby League club has become the latest user of the Sports Performer software with their purchase today.
Team Manager Ashley Stokes has coordinated the implementation of the program at the club as they prepare for their Jim Beam Cup season.
The coaching staff, including Steve Goshn and Eddie Flahey will undertake training on the operation next week.

As well as more functionality for the analysis of the top grade side, the club's Academy will also benefit from having access to their footage on a regular basis.

York City Knights coaching staff of Paul March and James Ratcliffe have updated their Sports Performer licences.
Following their appointments, it was quickly established that the club required an additional licence to add to the one purchased in 2003 as one of the initial Sports Performer users.
March, a half-back with playing experience at Wakefield, Castleford and Huddersfield will captain-coach the side in 2008. His coaching experience includes a stint at Thornhill Trojans.
Knights chief executive John Guildford believes the club will benefit from his experience and also believes he has a promising future as a coach.
The software gets it's first hit-out for the year in the clubs friendly against Wakefield Wildcats tomorrow.

Huddersfield's new Player Performance Manager Peter Riding has wasted no time in securing additional Sports Performer licences for the club.
Already a seasoned user of the software in his time at Wakefield Wildcats, Peter is looking to develop the next wave of stars into the Super League squad.

Sports Performer was demonstrated to a number of coaches in Foster over the weekend. Following on from the successful presentation of the software in Gosford recently, several coaches expressed interest in seeing the product in the presence of their club directors and David Perry was happy to oblige.

Presently, the site is a copy of the Australian site, but it is hoped that it will develop to more suit the UK and European markets.
