Edmonton Storm have become the latest rugby league club in far North Queensland to purchase the Sports Performer video analysis software.

Mackay Junior Rugby League will benefit from video analysis following today's agreement with QRL's Brad Henry to purchase a number of the Sports Performer software licences for use with the representative teams.

Lakes United rugby league club will compete in this years Newcastle Cup competition with the assistance of Sports Performer video analysis software.
On recommendation from Rip Taylor who became familiar with the program in his time with both Newcastle Knights and the Parramatta Eels, the club has purchased a licence to be used by Rip and his assist, former Dragons front-rower Jason Hoogerwerf.
David Perry met with the coaching staff recently to install and train them on the use of the software.


22 February 13
A visit to Wagga Wagga in central NSW to install the Sports Performer software and then train Andrew Morton and his coaching staff at Kildare Catholic College.
Following the school visit, David Perry visited a number of the local rugby league coaches in the area to show how Sports Performer and SP Rookie may be able to improve their performance on the field.

Completing a successful Brisbane visit, David Perry met with Redcliffe Dolphins coach John Dixon in preparation for the 2013 season.
Some minor technical issues were overcome which will now allow the coaching staff direct access to the video files supplied by the league and make it a simpler process to begin tagging the game.
With the Brisbane Bronco's continued relationship with Redcliffe, which will see a number of Broncos players wearing the Dolpins colors over the course of the season, processes have been put in place to simplify the sharing of video of these players back to Red Hill.

In preparation for the upcoming Qld Cup season, a successful Sports Performer training session was carried out at Easts Tigers leagues club in Brisbane involving the clubs video analyst Ben King.
David Perry was on hand to display a number of advanced techniques that will make the ongoing game tagging process more streamlined for Ben.

Brisbane's Churchie Anglican Church Grammar School will be utilising the Sports Performer software with today's purchase by director of rugby Jason Gilmore.
Jason brings his experience to the college following his use of the program at Toowoomba Grammar School over the past number of years.
David Perry visited him at the school ain Brisbane to install and licence the system.

David Perry was in Wollongong to install and train the newest Dragons coaches on the use of the Sports Performer software.
On hand were a number of former star St George and Illawarra players including Ben Hornby and Dean Young who will be in control of the Harold Matthews cup squads as well as Paul McGregor as Illawarra Cutters coach and also Graeme Wynn who will be assisting with the SG Ball team in 2013.

Having come across Sports Performer in his previous coaching assignments at Manly and Newcastle, rugby league coach Justin Stewart was keen to bring the software to the school.
David Perry visited Justin in Newcastle to install and train him on the use of the software.
He will also make use of the program in his role as coach of the Newcastle Knights Harold Matthews Cup squad.

Gold Coast Breakers Rugby club will be utilising Sports Performer software in the run home to their semi finals.
Head coach Rob Nowlan previously utilised the program at Sunnybank and has bought the technology with him to the Coast.

Parramatta Marist High School is the latest school to make use of the Sports Performer software with today's purchase.
Former Parramatta Eels Stength and Conditioning coach Craig Brennan is the Head Teacher PDHPE at the school and brings with him the knowledge of the use of the systems.
Also benefitting will be Hills District Junior Rugby League where Craig coaches.

Ku-ring-gai Soccer Association enters the season with the purchase of a number of Sports Performer licences. Following training at the organisation's Hornsby headquarters today, staff are looking forward to making use of the software and what the footage can do to improve performance at the club.
Numerous coaches including development director Jason Eagar were on hand to install the software and train in the full operation of the product.

Following recent visits, the Melbourne University have purchased Sports Performer software for use in their Physical Education & Sport Coaching classes.
Rebecca Lui and Melinda Nash have been trained in the operation of the software and are looking forward to the opportunities that it's use can bring to the curriculum.

Hunslet Hawks were promoted as Champions to the Cooperative Championship for the 2011 season.
Player coach, Paul March, had experience using Sports Performer at his previous club, York City Knights, and was keen to bring the technology to help the Hawks in their step up a division.
Paul, along with assistants Gary Lord and Mark Cass, are making use of Sports Performer in the fight to maintain Hunslet's position in the second tier of rugby league in the UK.

Another Intrust Queensland Cup club will be using Sports Performer with today's purchase by the Brisbane Easts Tigers.
After trialling the system in the early rounds of this years competition, the club's analyst Ben King will carry on utilising the system and providing feedback to coach Troy McCarthy and his staff.
David Perry demonstrated the program to club officials including CEO Des Morris and James Johns during a recent trip to Brisbane.

Sports Performer developer David Perry travelled to Wagga Wagga in Central NSW to install the newly purchased software for Wagga Wagga Brothers rugby league club.
First grade coach, Blake Dunn was on hand at McDonalds Park to go through the use of the program.

Former Newcastle Knight, Dane Campbell has purchased Sports Performer to assist in his role as head coach of the Noosa Pirates in 2011.
Noosa competes in the Sunshine Coast & Gympie rugby league competition in Queensland.
Dane's playing career also included Queensland Cup matches for Easts Tigers and Redcliffe Dolphins where he was exposed to this kind of technology.
"I believe, after being exposed to the Sports Performer anaylsis software, that it will significantly assist in providing further match and indiviual player review. I am excited about working with the software as we search for areas to further improve, both from a coaching and player perspective."

Dane Campbell is also now the owner of a new rugby league franchise based in Jamaica - Hurricanes Rugby League
Their aim is to compete in the USA semi professional competiton by the year 2013 and with the introduction of Sports Performer analysis software into Jamaica, it will revolutionise the sport there and ensure that they are one of the most professional franchises in the US competition.

A-Grade coach Eric Smith will have the software installed on atleast 2 computers within the club to monitor and analyse the performance of the players this season.

On recommendation from existing users of the software, Hong Kong Netball Association has today purchased the Sports Performer program for use withing the organisation.

After seeing the software at the QRL camps in Townsville over the pre-season, Yeppoon Junior Seagulls President Matt Pacey has invested in the Sports Performer software for use with a number of age divisions within the club, noteably the under 14’s and under 10’s.
It will also be utilised with a Year 9 rugby league team from St Brendan’s where he hopes to show the kids some of what he has been speaking to them about.
There is also an opportunity to utilise Sports Performer for junior touch football teams both in the Capricorn Coast local competition and for a Representative team in the area.
With thoughts of representative rugby league coaching in the future he sees the software as a terrific opportunity to gain the most from his players.

A follow up training session was carried out with Redcliffe Dolphins coach John Dixon.
Already with a wealth of video footage captured last season, this has been archived off in preparation for the upcoming season in the Queensland Cup.

Brisbane's Padua College has had their Sports Performer software training at the school today.
The schools Rugby and League coach Scott Maguire sat the session with colleagues to learn the use of the program.
There is also the possibility of the software being used with soccer and other sports throughout the college in the coming months.

Sports Performer training has been undertaken with Ipswich Brothers rugby league at their leagues club.
Representatives from the junior and senior divisions, including Lane Bird were on hand for the session in preparation for the season ahead.

The Western Suburbs Rugby League Football club is calling on applications for the position of Assistant State Cup coach for the 2011 season. We are looking for an experienced and well qualified coach who has ambitions to develop his coaching at this level.

The person will require good skills in:

  • Organisation
  • Communication and
  • Have a good knowledge of the game of rugby league. Knowledge or past qualifications in Rugby League will be seen as an advantage but not critical to the position.

Brothers Rugby League Club in Townsville goes into the weekends Grand Final having successfully utilised Sports Performer in the leadup.
The software has now been purchased and plans are underway to arrange some additional training later in the year.
Football Operations Manager Todd Wilson has worked with the system previously and said of the program, "I believe it is the most effective coaching tool we can have."

Germany's Wild Rugby Academy has purchased Sports Performer software for use in their programs.
Formed in 2008 by Dr Hans-Peter Wild, and with support of Springbok legend Naas Botha and cooperation from the Durban Sharks in South Africa, the Academy encourages growth of rugby at all levels in Germany.
With the head office in Heidelberg and offices in Hannover, Berlin and Frankfurt/Heusenstamm, the WRA includes programs at National , Under 19 and youth levels.

Following a presentation to Performance Manager, Waimarama Taumaunu during a recent visit to New Zealand, Netball Wellington have become the latest organisation to run the Sports Performer software.
David will be in Wellington later in the month to install and train the coaching staff including Waimarama and Lindsay Murdock on the use of the program.

Leigh East were minor premiers of the National Conference Premiership and Grand Final Winners.
Director of Rugby, John Fieldhouse used Sports Performer all year in game and player analysis and reports that the software was instrumental in achieving the required standards to have such a great season.

After an extensive search of analysis systems, consultant Philip Kong's advise to Oakhill College was to purchase Sports Performer for the school's video analysis needs.
Initially the system will be used by the 1st XV rugby coach, Andrew Wisemental with the hope of other sports coming on board with future purchases.

Redcliffe Dolphins are looking to extend their great start to the season on the InTrust Cup, with the purchase of Sports Performer software.
Head coach John Dixon initiated the use of the system having utilised it successfully in the English Super League with the Celtic Cruscaders.
Players will have access to the coaches edits on the dedicated computers setup in the players area.
David Perry spent the morning setting up the system and training John and his staff on it's use.

After presenting the Sports Performer software at their offices in Hamilton recently, David Perry held discussions with their Sports Development Advisor Mark McLaughlin to establish how best to utilise the program within their organisation.
This resulted in the purchase of multiple software licences to be used across a number of sports including soccer and volleyball.
The software is also to be used by SportsForce development officers who are employed to make sport happen by working with volunteers in recruitment and training. This project reaches throughout the greater Waikato region and now includes 19 sports.

Central Coast Centurions link up with the Newcastle Knights and under the guidance of coaches Rip Taylor and Tony Keevill, will embark on the season ahead with the use of Sports Performer software.
Both men are familiar with the software having used it in previous coaching stints and will be meeting up with David Perry this week to install the program and go through some additional training.

The Entrance Tigers will re-enter the Bundurberg Red Cup in 2010, armed with Sports Performer analysis software.
Coaching staff including Jamie Forbes and Alex Moore will be trained in the use of the program and are looking forward to it assisting the club in a very competitive competition. Both are back to attempt to add to their tally of two Jim Bean Cup championships in the last 6 years.

Napier Pirates coaching staff begin their campaign for the Hawkes Bay Rugby Union premiership with the use of Sports Performer software.
David Perry spent time in Napier recently to train coach Phil Rumpler and analyst Rudy Markram on the operation.
Both were excited about what the program is capable of providing them in the season ahead.

While in Caloundra, David caught up with Sunshine Coast Sea-Eagles coach Brandon Costin to go over some of the finer points of the Sports Performer software with him.
Although already astute with the operation having utilised the software in the club's successful Queensland Cup campaign last year, there were a couple of points that he identified to make his job quicker and more functional in the season ahead.

David Perry travelled to Caloundra on the Queensland Sunshine Coast to install and train Scott Kidston from the local junior rugby union club.
Scott sees the acquision of the Sports Performer software as a tool to improve on the referee's development program that is already in place at the club.
Caloundra provides a significant number of referees into the local competition and Sports Performer will assist in their ongoing development.

David Perry has just returned from a week in New Zealand's North Island where Sports Performer software was successfully presented at a number of venues.
Starting at Sport Wellington, Mike Walsh hosted the presentation attended by a group eager to see what video analysis can do for their particular sport.
A return visit to Napier followed where the SP Rugby package was installed at a number of the rugby clubs in the region.
In Hamilton, Mark McLaughlin at Sport Waikato hosted 3 presentations over a full day, with attendees ranging in sporting backgrounds from rugby, netball, soccer and league to yachting and karate.

The purchase of additional Sports Performer licences by Souths Rugby Club in Brisbane will see coach Dan McKellar and his coaching staff more equipped in their approach to the 2010 season.
A number of SP Viewers located around in the changerooms will also make it easier to provide feedback to the players.
David Perry will be in Brisbane on Saturday to deliver additional training to the coaches.

Brisbane school St Josephs College have come on board with the purchase of a number of Sports Performer software licences to aid, initially their rugby teams and then into other sports within the school.
Coach Tyron Mandrusiak saw the software being utilised by some of the rugby clubs in and around Brisbane and was impressed.

Wagga Wagga School, Kildare Catholic College has installed Sports Performer software into a dedicated classroom for their students usage.
David Perry travelled to the NSW centre of Wagga Wagga and conducted training workshops for Katie Hogg and the staff, representing a number of sports and other vocations throughout the school.
With the software setup, students are able to utilise their 'home' drive to store and revisit footage they have tagged, independant of which computer they access in the school.
